IMHO dislikes should effect not only the world peace bar, but also work a bit like downvotes, or at least they shouldn't bring up posts. The world peace should be also recalculated on daily basis, based just on daily values and not on the absolute average, to give war a chance.

If a friend posts "My dog died", I should be able to dislike that their dog died, without it causing the news to be buried. Bad news should rise and be seen, so that many friends can give encouraging words of support, offer sympathy, and dislike the bad news. We have developed an instinct to like and then comment to explain that we dislike their news but like that they shared it. We should be free to dislike the news and not have to explain our dislike, when it is obvious. But I do agree that world peace should be recalculated daily. Otherwise, as time goes on, it will be harder and harder for dislikes to affect it, considering that most of us have been brainwashed by other services, to click like by default. Most of us have forgotten how to properly dislike something. And it will take time for that habit to be broken. If it's not recalculated daily, then very old bad habits from the early days of frenf.it, when we were still clicking like by default, will skew the world peace results for the life of the service. - April Russo - -

Emossione, un bug importato da friendfeed per i nostalgici: il mio twitter non viene più importato da qualche mese, anche se forzosamente aggiorno. Oppure non lo sto vedendo io. Ci sono sicuramente dei post importati da twitter 5 mesi fa che si vedono. Non ne ho visto parlare ma caZiatemi pure se l'avete fatto.

Per curiosità, quando il server risponde che è over capacity cosa significa? E' un problema di banda? Di database? Di salcazzo? Detto in parole semplici che anche uno che non sa nulla di programmazione web possa intuire, se possibile.

Praticamente non risponde in tempo, ti da un messaggio di errore e smette di fare quello che faceva. In questo modo si evitano query morte nel db che rubano solo risorse. In teoria cosi' il carico si abbassa un attimo e dovresti riavere la tua home al refresh. - sciack - -

Mozione "si potrebbe spostare log out da qualsiasi altra parte ma non sotto il GIAO $USERNAME?" non sapete quante volte con i miei ditoni, da telefono cerco di andare sui messaggi diretti, o su mio feed, e finisco per sloggarmi perché lo premo inavvertitamente. L'ideale per me sarebbe sotto il menù a tendina delle preferenze, o generalmente in alto dentro la barra nera.

I've slightly tuned the database, yesterday night. No the slow queries seem to be less slow, but still slow. Anyway, it seems that I'm on the right way, every new deploy frenf.it becomes a bit faster. I guess that in the next 32 years we'll have the final release! :D

Comunque anche alle 3 di notte i miei frenfbook ci mettono diversi minuti a caricarsi e uno in particolare dà sempre il messaggio che il sistema non risponde. Quindi forse non dipende dal carico di utenti visto che a quest'ora dovremmo essere in pochi.

Il server esiste ed è offerto gratuitamente dall'azienda che vedi citata sulla colonna di destra. Forse non è più sufficiente, ma per capirlo bisognerebbe vedere l'impiego delle risorse che solo Senape conosce al momento. Senape però ha un piccolo tesoretto derivante dalle nostre donazioni che potrà investire nel modo più opportuno.
