Negli US va molto di moda scagliarsi contro il privilegio, che e' facilmente riconoscibile se ti chiami Barilla o Rockfeeller e hai ereditato il patrimonio, ma e' vagamente un po' piu complicato nella maggior parte dei casi. In generale, se non si e' una minoranza e si e' benestanti, si e' considerati privilegiati. Ma poiche' gli US sono sempre stati una societa' abbastanza dinamica e' facile trovare paradossi.

Questo è il classico thread in cui ciò che vale per gli americani non vale per noi italiani. Un privilegiato per un italiano è il figlio di benestante (reddito superiore ai 300k), visto che qui sanità, istruzione di base e cibo sono facilmente accessibili. Negli Usa puoi considerarti un privilegiato se vivi in un quartiere senza sparatorie, non hai un parente tossicodipendente e/o incarcerato. Le risposte a queste obiezioni sono state generalmente piccate, ribattendo con il numero di previsioni azzeccate o il prestigio della propria universita’.

[Soluzioni a problemi di una certa importanza]: i casi aumentano di giorno in giorno e quindi non si puo' fisicamente andare a mangiare la pizza settimanale, ma la pizzeria di fiducia e' a 20' da casa e la pizza arriva sempre fredda.

[che cos'e' il genio] Mi sono sempre lamentato dei Consolati Italiani all'Estero: sia a San Francisco che a Boston fanno orari dementi e raramente rispondono al telefono. Li ho sempre considerati uno spreco di soldi pubblici. Poi sono andato alle Hawaii per lavoro, in un resort fuori Honolulu, in un quartiere con case di svariati milioni.
