Today at lunch someone derided vape nerds for being way too into minutia, then talked about PC keyboard switches for at least ten minutes.

Reminder: it was less outrageous, but Daraprim's $13.50/pill price pre-Shkreli was already gouging. GSK used to sell it for $1/pill.

Or, we ended up here because time travelers already came back and killed an even worse dictator as a baby, which led to Hitler taking power.
Also, why did the Death Star reactor have "thermal exhaust ports"?? Heat & energy are the /desired/ outputs from a reactor!!!

Also also, why does a space station have "thermal exhaust ports"? Are they just throwing away air constantly?

I'd need a new and different work visa and/or fast-track citizenship, but sure, I'd accept the Speaker position if they want.
Given that the Speaker is third in line for the presidency, I wonder if the citizenship requirements for president would apply to that office as well. Or would succession just skip the Speaker and pass to the next eligible office holder.

Speaker, President of the Senate, Sec State, etc can be ineligible to be President and still serve those roles, but they can't be President: they do indeed get skipped over. http://www.factcheck.org/... -

Arguably even a noncitizen could be Speaker and thus ascend to Presidency in end-run around usual natural-born citizenship requirement.

In BTTF, Doc and Marty have to have split-second timing, but they're working from a barely minute-accurate account of the lightning strike…
I love that, with no irony, they advertise the main positive point being that these groups would be able to trample constitutional rights in the name of upholding the constitution.

From which side of things? As a consumer, I'm moderately pleased that development on the Flickr mobile apps has finally caught up to where it needs to be. Other things? Not so much. I think I'd have a different perspective as someone assessing the ad revenue from Tumblr, or relative success/failure of their TV ventures.

Like the guy from Mobile Opportunity keeps harping on, Yahoo already provides a vast array of services. People conceivably could do most of their smartphone and desktop web stuff from Yahoo, but the fragmented design means Yahoo monetizes maybe (his estimate) 10% as well as, say, Google.

Oh, ESPN as a whole probably doesn't have a lot of headroom for revenue growth, but for Grantland itself, earning tiny amounts...

I'm not gonna hate on a "man bun", but the guy playing guitar on the train has a topknot AND a bun at the base of his neck.
But is topknot-PLUS-bun guy a good musician?
Well, no.

See, that's the thing. If you're super double talented, you can look however you want. Well, you can do that anyway, you just shouldn't expect anyone to pay attention.
