These guys owned this one. This is precisely what I mean when I say that being true to the original version is not the best thing to do when covering a song. It restricts you and doesn't allow you to be unique in your interpretation. [SOLVED] DO ANYBODY NO? i have a 2.5GB file to download from a server that does NOT support resume, and I need to do it using an unstable internet connection. This download will end up broken if I try to download it directly from the original source. A download manager will not help me. I need a way to mirror it to a server that DOES support resume. Or a tool that can stick it directly into my Dropbox account.

Benny, I know about URL Droplet, but I can't use them for security reasons. I don't trust them enough to give them read/write access to the entire contents of my dropbox account, which they require. I wouldn't mind if they only required access to their own subfolder within the apps folder (which is all any sensible app would ask for). - April Russo - -

Good file locator for Windows, especially if you are looking for a Windows alternative to the grep command. It doesn't just search by file name...you can search within the content of the files, for specific words & phrases. And it supports boolean & regular expressions. - April Russo - -

This has been my favorite desktop RSS reader for quite a number of years. It can handle a lot of feeds and has a lot of features that makes getting through them faster & easier. Many people were not willing to try this one, back when they thought integration with Google Reader was a must-have feature they really needed, but I don't think that's a requirement of any RSS reader, any more. It has a lot of different ways to display feeds, from a headline ticker across your screen, a slideshow, to a more traditional style full view. My favorite view, which makes sharing a lot easier, is using the Today window. It gives you a searchable list of just the headlines, arranged in the order of freshness, that when you hover over them you get a popup with an excerpt. Click the headline and it loads the page in your default browser, instead of it's internal IE based browser. - April Russo - -
