The hashtag #piastrelle (italian for “tiles”) tags the release of photos of private parts, nudities or boobs. It comes from a primary photo posted by an italian user showing her boobs with kitchen tiles on the background. Often it is used in an ironical way to tag photos of people suspected to post a selfie to collect compliments and positive comments (see also “bellachesei” http://www.frenf.it/early... )

user wirta once posted a pic of herself sucking on her big toe while contorting on a couch, which might also be considered a seminal, off-the-record #piastrelle item - Slow - - (Edit | Remove)

“Paza e solare” is an ironical expression used to mock a (mainly female) person who makes or says stupid things claiming to be particularly original and unconventional. Literally it’s a distortion of the expression “pazza e solare” (“Crazy and shiny”) which is used by several people in their social account descriptions trying desperately to sound nonconformist.

It occurs also as “Solare e un po’ paza” ("Shiny and a little bit crazy”) or in the redundant “paza paza paza” ("crazy crazy crazy”) which is also a quotation of an italian pop song by Raffaella Carrà (“Pazza pazza pazza sulla terrazza”, that is “crazy crazy crazy on a terrace”, https://www.youtube.com/w... ) - marcobeccaria - - (Edit | Remove)

The trend started long before the advent of social media with a known italian TV show on a music thematic channel, called "The Club" were people in disco nightclubs were asked to leave a video-message in order promote themselves into a paid dating and chatting service. This video-message were broadcasted on national television regularly for moths and years. Due to the nature of the place and context in which this video-interview were shot, interviewed people were often deafened by the loud music, or drunk, or simply typical disco-douchebags, and their stupidity was kinda entertaining. The interviews always ended with the question "Define Youself in three words" so the answer was, 99% of the times, "SOLARE, PAZZA/O, TRASGRESSIVA/O" in mixed order. This kind of catchphrase took hold with the advent of Facebook, and lot of people trying to be particularly original and unconventional started re-using them. - bezdomnyj82 - - (Edit | Remove)
