Is this (is there?) a good place to ask if anyone knows Manfredi Romano? This guy: https://it.linkedin.com/i... I know this is a stupid question because Italy is bigger than one might imagine, I'm just curious. We were friends on Napster almost 20 years ago.

Not that I really care, but shouldn't presidential candidate debates be viewable on non-cable stations?

When it comes to actual presidential candidates, yes; when it comes to 17 people vying for their party's nomination, I'm not sure it's that big of a deal. - Friendfed Mr. Noodle - - (Edit | Remove)

Wonder how game show responses have changed over the last 50 or so years. What is acceptable vs not acceptable anymore. The newlywed game would be an interesting sociological study. such as http://www.ingentaconnect... or https://books.google.com/... - Joe - - (Edit | Remove)

Have any of your bills ever been caught as counterfeit by one of those pens they use at the grocery store?

I saw one taped to the wall at a Wendy's. It was pretty good. But, there are so many ways to check for counterfeits, that I don't like it when they use the pen. They can also check for the thread tape thing, the color changing ink, and the watermark that is tough to counterfeit. - Joe - - (Edit | Remove)

I accidentally bought this fancy ginger ale (the Bruce Cost kind) that only has 66 calories because it's sweetened with monk fruit extract: https://en.wikipedia.org/... It's so much better than any artificial sweetener I've ever tried.

My first 4th of July since I moved to the city. I've heard non-stop fireworks in neighborhoods all around me for the past 2 hours. Now it's basically a solid wall of popping, with the occasional series of booms. There's fireworks *everywhere*. - bentley - - (Edit | Remove)

This is all so surprising to me, I think, because I'd assumed that "all the big change" would happen when I was young. Because the world changed so much when my parents were young? It's something about the timing that surprises me.

Sadly, Joe, it looks like it might be even longer than that, now. A lot of the right wing pundits/blogs are now picking up on the same-sex marriage decision, and inferring that those same nationwide protections apply to their right to carry concealed weapons. It will be interesting to see if that makes its way to the national stage, and how the court will decide on that one. - Friendfed Mr. Noodle - - (Edit | Remove)
