I am closing my browser. I rarely do this, but I really need to finish my sermon, and I just can't stop watching my friendfeed feed.

I am consuming coffee (yes, it is 9:45 pm), and finally preparing to write my sermon out for tomorrow. It has been a very busy day, and this is the first time I have been able to sit since early this morning.

I really wish I could post youtube videos directly on friendfeed. Anyone know how now that youtube no longer has the long link option?
Huh. I'd been wondering about that. I still do occasionally see videos, but a lot of them have been coming through that way. The one Halil just posted looks fine.

The bad thing about eating after having dental work done is that you can't feel parts of your mouth. This can lead to one accidentally chewing on one's own mouth. This is not a good thing. Trust me.

Have spent much of the day moving a friend of Desiree's into our home. She is 22, her parents are members of an extreme fundamentalist church, and they basically kept her home 24/7. I don't know how long she will be with us, but I am hoping this will give her a chance to shine.

Y'all missed me singing in church this morning. Two solos: a spiritual "Sinners, Please Don't Let This Harvest Pass," and a gospel song "Holy Spirit, Rain Down." Just letting you know. :^)

I got some Brisket at Boneyard Joe's this evening. As a side I got collard greens. While both were tasty, they were also excessively salty. I mean really salty, as in I am still thirsty some 3 hours later.
""From One Second to the Next," the rather unlikely film below, came together when AT&T approached the legendary German filmmaker Werner Herzog and asked if he would direct a series of short films warning people about the dangers of texting while driving."

Political Values
Radicalism 88.5 . . . Socialism 81.25 . . . Tenderness 71.875 ---These scores indicate that you are a tender-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with an animal rights activist. It appears that you are moderate towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as left-wing.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a devoted egalitarian with few strong opinions.

Why does every promotional spot that HBO has for Les Miserables feature the "singing" of Russell Crowe. That makes no sense to me.

When we go to the movies I annoy my daughter by guessing the names of the film companies from their "logos" shown at the movies' beginnings.
In case you were wondering, I was looking up the difference between "a thorn in the flesh" and "a burden to bear" in preparation for next week's sermon.
