Ft. Wayne(IN), Rockford (IL), and Aurora (IL). One is a city 20 miles away from where I was born, and all of the cities were in the same general region. :)

Another day has dawned. Good morning, everyone! One good thing about my job is that I can sleep late some days. I didn't get up until 9 am this morning. Just call me a sloth. :^)

Which brings us back to the parable of the prodigal son. The elder brother (standing proxy for you and me) comes in from the fields and hears the sound of music and dancing resounding merrily from the banquet hall. When a servant tells him what it is all about, the brother becomes indignant and refuses to join the party. His Father tries to reason... - http://friarw.tumblr.com/post...

Jim and family showed up for worship this morning. Of course everything that could go wrong went wrong during the first 15 minutes. Embarrassing. Sorry bud.

Is greed a religion today? It does seem that for many people material things hold a place in their lives that was once occupied by belief in God. The economy has achieved what might be described as a sacred status. Like God, the economy, is capable of supplying our needs without limit. Also, like God, the economy is mysterious, dangerous and... - http://friarw.tumblr.com/post...
